Albano Fuchs was an outstanding marksman and loved hunting, a trait passed down to him from his father and grandfather.  An active member of the Cypress Mill Rifle Club, he was described by Herman Reiner as the best rifleshot he had ever seen.

He and Gini are seen above on a family picnic on the Pedernales River around 1905. Gini is holding Gertrude while while Albano takes aim at something in the water. Little Ewald in the striped suit watches his dad.

Albano also had a great sense of humor.  He engaged in a staged cat fight with sister-in-law Olga Fuchs Struve on one outing.

Jack rabbits were pests on the ranch.  Above, the results of a successful rabbit hunt.  Son Ewald is on the left, and his friend Monroe Hyatt is on the right.

Albano loved deer hunting, and occasionally Gini joined him on the hunt.  He shot a bear in 1947.
